Frequently asked questions
What's included with my Ring?
Every Ring set includes an magno Ring and a charging kit, which consists of a ring charging dock and a USB cable. To charge the ring, the USB cable must be connected to an external power source, such as a power adapter. Note that a power adapter is not included.
Do I need Bluetooth enabled to use the Ring?
Yes, Bluetooth must be enabled on your phone for the ring to sync data with the App. However, the ring will still collect data even if Bluetooth is off, in Airplane Mode or disconnected from the app. Your data will sync the next time Bluetooth is enabled.
Do I need to wear the Ring in a specific orientation?
Ring should be worn with the dimple facing the palm side of your finger.
How accurate is the Magno Ring?
The sensors in the Magno Ring have been tested against laboratory results in multiple validation studies. Learn more about Science & Research at Magno.
Wearables differ in where they're worn, the sensors they use, and how they process data. For the most consistent and meaningful insights, it's best to track trends and changes over time within your Oura Ring and Oura App, rather than comparing your Oura results to those from other devices.
Can I wear my Magno Ring in pools, saunas, or ice bath?
Magno Ring is water-resistant up to 100 meters (~330 feet), meaning that you can wear it while showering, swimming, or partaking in recreational diving (e.g. snorkeling), but we don’t recommend using your Magno Ring while scuba diving or keeping it submerged underwater for over 12 hours. Chlorine will not damage it.
Magno Ring operating temperature ranges from -10–52°C / 14–125°F. You can safely wear your Magno Ring in the shower, hot tubs, saunas, ice baths, and cryotherapy tanks. However, extended exposure to extreme temperatures (below -20°C / -4°F or above 60°C / 140°F) may lead to battery damage.
